Dass an diese AHK keine normale Hollandöse vom Markt passt, ist klar. Der Platz für ein umlaufendes Stahlband von 20 mm Breite und 2,5 - 3 mm Stärke je nach Material zwischen dem montierten Halter für die Anhängersteckdose ist vorhanden. Verschraubung seitlich mit einer M8 und einer Stahlguss-Ringmutter. Ich würde da, wenn ich es nicht selbst herstellen könnte, zum Schlosser gehen. Der biegt und Bohrt das Teil und lässt es Feuerverzinken. Sitzt hinterher bombenfest und hält mehr aus, als die Ösen aus dem Handel.

Thanking you for a very fine and informative site.
We also are very keen to tow our Bushtec Quantum trailer behind our little gem.
After 30,000 kms pulling behind our moto it would be absolutely perfect.
Legalities and speed limits aside, I know that safety would not be compromised in any way.
Which is why we chose this for touring on the moto.
One difference is that the connection is not the normal "ball" but a "pin" with a captured ball.
Similar to tractor 3 point linkage for accessories. This attachment allows 360º of rotation with no slack.
Very important when behind 2 wheels.

It costs a lot of money to develop a safety-relevant vehicle component with EU street approval for a specific vehicle. In the case of the Smart, the manufacturer doesn't provide any specifications for trailer load and nose weight. So, these values also had to be determined. And manufacturing in small quantities is also expensive. Manufacturers like Westfalia did not even think about making a "hook" for Smart.
